Itinerary of Dayara Bugyal Trek Package
Pickup: Early morning from Dehradun (ISBT / Railway Station area)
Drive Duration: 7–8 hours
Distance: approx. 180–190 km
Your Dayara Bugyal journey begins with a scenic drive from Dehradun. The road follows the Bhagirathi River and passes through towns like Chamba, Uttarkashi, and Bhatwari. As you move higher, the air becomes fresher and views become more beautiful.
By afternoon or early evening, you reach Raithal, a peaceful Himalayan village and the starting point of the Dayara Bugyal trek.
Stay: Homestay / Guesthouse in Raithal

Trail Type: Gradual climb, forest trail
After breakfast, the trek begins from Raithal. The trail is well-marked and passes through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests. As you move up, you hear birds, feel cool breeze, and enjoy silence away from the city.
Midway, you get clearings that open into small grasslands a perfect place to rest and enjoy the valley view.
By afternoon, you reach Gui Campsite, a peaceful forest clearing surrounded by tall trees.

Today is the most beautiful day of the entire trek. After breakfast, the trail climbs gradually and soon the forest opens into huge grasslands, this is the start of Dayara Bugyal.
As you walk, you will see wide open meadows spreading for kilometres. During summer they turn bright green, and in winter they become a white snowfield.
From the upper points of Dayara Bugyal, you get stunning views of:
- Bandarpunch
- Srikanth Peak
- Gangotri Range
- Draupadi Ka Danda
- Jaonli Peak
You spend time exploring the Bugyal, taking pictures, relaxing, and enjoying packed lunch in the open meadow.
By afternoon, return safely to the Gui campsite.

Trek Distance: 4–5 km
Trek Duration: 2–3 hours
Trail Type: Downhill, easy walk
After breakfast, begin descending back to Raithal. Downhill is much easier and takes less time.
Enjoy the forest path again, click photos, and slowly come down to the village.
Reach Raithal by afternoon and check into your guesthouse.
Evening is free for exploring the village, interacting with locals, or resting.
